This park is subpar. First the good: convenient to everything. There is a Publix supermarket right next door. The bad: the park is right behind a gas station, bar and liquor store, so lots of traffic out front. Next, in the back someone has a construction company with access through the park. So all day long there is traffic through the park of non campers. We were parked on this road and it was almost like facing a public street. The park is old, poorly laid out and rough around the edges. Most of the sites are not level. Our power went out several times during our stay.
We used this campground as a layover place as we traveled. It was great for that use. I am not sure I would enjoy a longer stay. It was a small but quiet campground. There was a playground & small putt putt golf course. There was a pool but it was closed when we were there in October. We had a pull through site which was actually just two sites. We barely fit with our F250 & 35' travel trailer. The restrooms were clean. The small arcade just ate our sons quarters & he was unable to play any games. The staff was extremely friendly. Small store with gas station , state store, & bar.
Campground is a disgrace. Open bags of garbage construction supplies left on sites, sites extremely uneven. Site we had reserved in am was given to someone else when we arrived in pm. Don't even think of stopping here. Tried to contact KOA headquarters they could care less. Also contacted this campground they could care less also. Only thing I can do is keep giving bad reviews unless money paid is refunded.
Great layover campsites. Pull through, level and clean. I don't know why anyone would complain about the store check in. Yes, there's a bar there... although there was a motorcycle in the parking lot, it is certainly NOT a biker bar. I stayed right in front and never heard any noise. Publix is a huge plus for prepared hot dinners, deli and any grocery needs..and in walking distance.
We spent 4 days here in 10/17, pulling a 43' 5th-wheel. The camp is in a high-traffic, very busy shopping area, and about 3 blocks off the interstate. It is fairly quiet at night and restful for the most part. Paved roads in the camp are deteriorating. Maintenance is one the decline. Some facilities have been closed for a long time. Sites are level and gravel, and many campers come and go daily. It's a good overnight stopping place. We've stayed there 4-5 times to visit family, and will stay again for the convenience.
