it is age restricted so only those of 12 and under can go, not because they dont want them breaking the set, but because people are smoking weed on the playground.
Let me first start out by saying that the location and the apartments themselves are great! New management is very poor and will be driving the remaining decent tenants elsewhere.
all of the stair wells of all the buildings are NASTY. they have like liquid poop stains or something, garbage trails.. and other nasty shite.
Trash removal seems to have been decreased to one time per week, which is not acceptable for a complex this size.
If you have a package delivered, good luck getting anyone to answer the phone or call you back. The staff seems to be very rude and condescending when you question them on anything.
they are LITERALLY THE WORST
FIRST OFF.
living here i can tell you the people are nice, but everything else is awful. no handicap respect or access, part of the sidewalk has been ripped up, and requested to be fixed as it is a SAFETY HAZARD.
Since the acquisition roughly 3 months ago by the new management, we have received more letters and notices on our door than in our previous 3 years here. They have made requests for information that was not addressed in our current lease. They use generic form letters with incorrect information that does not apply to you.
DO NOT MOVE HERE.
In closing, My husband and I will be moving when our lease is up this July.
worst place to live, don't come here. the owners are rude, and just mean.
they have no mercy
screw the number counts everything here is awful, if they find even a small tiny bitty bit of dog poop they fine you like $250
I have never been compelled to write a review before, as I often find them only to be a place where grumpy people come to complain; however, after months of infuriating interactions with the new staff of The Commons at Fort Mill, I want to warn other potential residents that this is no longer a good place to live. Since the change in management earlier in 2017, this apartment complex has declined quickly. I would not choose The Commons as my home. I have been unimpressed, frustrated and flustered by the lack of professionalism of the new staff. They are inflexible, they leave notices on your door instead of emailing you, they set unrealistic deadlines, even ones over national holidays when many residents are traveling, and when you express your concern, you get a canned, apathetic response. The beauty of living in a family run apartment complex, the kind of apartment community that we lived in for over a year before the management change is long gone. I would NOT, under any circumstance choose to live here again.
New Ownership has changed the community experience in a very positive way. Since the new ownership has taken over, I have seen great changes towards the way people are treated. It's a different community, great location, and now great management .
the playground is falling apart, the swings have been replaced 3 times, but they have kept the rickity wooden set for god knows how long.
The new management is horrible. They stopped taking personal checks and there is a almost $40 "convenience fee" to pay online. My bank isn't in this State so my options are pretty limited. They are money hungry and don't do anything for the community. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere. We will be moving immediately once our lease is over. Oh and good luck getting anyone in the phone if you have a question after you move in.
